Educational Initiatives (EI) is a research organization started by a group of IIM – Ahmedabad alumni who have been instrumental in conceptualizing and running the Eklavya School and Eklavya Institute of Teacher Education at Ahmedabad.

Educational Initiatives has a mission of improving the quality of education amongst children of school going age. EI is doing this by focusing on diagnostic assessments, teacher training and large scale assessment studies.

EI’s main offering to schools is ASSET – a diagnostic assessment test that helps schools and students benchmark their learning vis -a- vis their peers all across the country. The test offers detailed feedback designed to help children improve over 700 schools and 1.5 lakh students participate in ASSET from schools in India, Nepal, Middle East and Singapore.

We are building our school database so that we can send our monthly newsletter ASSETscope carrying various kind of information for school teachers and Principals.

The compilation contains books and the educational resources that Prof. Arvind Gupta has collected over his 30 years of work in the field of education.
