Duke TIP Talent Search (in partnership with ASSET)

The Concept
Duke TIP is an affiliated program of Duke University, which is currently ranked as one of the top 10 universities in the United States by U.S News and World Report. One of the most competitive universities in the country, Duke has some of the best schools, in medicine, public policy, business and environment, in the world.

Serving more than 2 million students since 1980, the Duke University Talent Identification Program (Duke TIP), a non-profit organization, is a world leader in identifying and serving the educational needs of academically talented youth. Through research, information, identification, recognition, advocacy and challenging educational programs, Duke TIP provides gifted students, as well as their parents and educators, with resources for the development of their optimal potential.

The Mission for Duke TIP India
Talent needs to be recognized and motivated at all levels in order to encourage a brighter future for the country.

Duke TIP India aims to acknowledge the academically talented students in the country and give them an opportunity to understand their capabilities better and effectively develop their optimal educational capabilities.

The Talent Search
Duke TIP identifies academically talented students, across the country, through the ASSET test.
We understand that talent requires motivation and support. We, thus, provide academically gifted students with above-level testing, resources and encouragement so that they can continuously challenge themselves academically.

Students who qualify for the Duke TIP India Talent Search will be eligible for benefits such as:

1) Recognition: receipt of a Certificate of Merit
2) Above-level testing: the opportunity to take an above-level ASSET test and receive a diagnostic assessment of intellectual ability
3) Interactive seminars: participation in Duke TIP webinars
4) Duke TIP in India Family e-Newsletter: information and practical advice for parents and guardians of academically talented students
5) Educational Programming: participation in distance learning options and the opportunity to apply for Duke TIP Summer Studies Programs in India and the United States.
