What is Mindspark?

Mindspark was created by an expert team at Educational Initiatives. The team designed Mindspark after carrying out intensive research on the data on student performance from ASSET tests conducted over many years in order to discover the different learning patterns among children.

How is Mindspark different from e-learning programmes?

Many students have a misunderstanding of basic concepts that they carry forward from an early age. It is important to identify those misunderstandings and help the student overcome them. Most often, a child does not try to clear these misconceptions due to a lack of opportunity or fear of embarrassment. Mindspark questions are designed on the basis of detailed classroom studies and research in student learning - to specifically target common student errors and misconceptions. Over 60% of the problems in Mindspark Maths make use of visuals and animations. The graphics in Mindspark are mostly used as serious learning tools, and not as lighthearted cartoons or games - which today's kids get an overdose of on T.V. in any case! In English, Mindspark focuses on engaging the learner with different varieties of reading and listening comprehension, and also strengthens knowledge of grammar and vocabulary by giving intelligent contexts within questions.

For which classes is Mindspark appropriate?

Mindspark Maths has been designed currently for classes 1 through 10 - the classes that focus on developing key Maths concepts in students. Mindspark English is currently for classes 4 through 9 – the classes where students who are familiar with basic concepts need the most exposure to language.
